The new batery

Using nanotechnology, scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA, developed a new battery or battery whose molecular structure is composed of 90% cellulose and 10% of carbon nanotubes act as electrodes and allow lead current.These batteries or batteries can use the existing natural electrolytes in sweat, urine and human blood to be activated and produce electricity, are biocompatible therefore could be used in medical implants.The new battery is extremely flexible and thin, it can also be stacked to produce more electricity, is organic to be biodegradable, can operate from 37.8 degrees to +148.9 degrees Celsius.Actually it looks a small sheet of black paper, but for now it is quite expensive to produce, study new development alternatives, which are also experienced with them so far have been 100 recharges without the filing of any deterioration, plan testing to determine which is the maximum number of refills that enables the new battery.

Sole Mio

Sole Mio is the name given to the first mouse Wireless PC that works with photovoltaic cells, using solar energy. Sole Mio is the first test of a series of 15, which is carried out by the Netherlands Organization for the development of science in cooperation with several universities. The prototype PV mice are subject to intensive use is made to the computer, the user has a good amount of sunlight into the room, but for now would be a bit expensive, are rehearsing ceclulas more efficient and cheaper photovoltaic with in order to give mass exit to the prototypes. Millions of mice consuming only solar energy would be significant savings, while helping to realize a more efficient consumption.

Houses in mexico

The housing market is shifting even in Mexico and one of the country's largest developers has introduced a new scheme to build more ecological housing and cities. Geo, which builds more than 50,000 houses in Mexico a year, many of them small and low-cost for first-time buyers, says that features like more gardens and energy efficient technology will improve the quality of life of residents in its communities.

Part of the plan is to offer mortgages that would provide home buyers with financial incentives to build .

Examples:

Eco-Houses

The concept of the ecological house includes, as a rule, the following:
- Maximum use at building and furnish of the house of natural materials and technologies;

- Harmonious connection of the house (manor) with a surrounding natural landscape. Building is conducted so that to do the least harm to environment and a natural landscape.

- Application of energo-saving up technologies at supply of the house by electric energy and heat, up to full power independence of the house of external networks. This concept includes use of energy of the Sun, a wind and other technologies connected with natural maintenance at home all necessary, including water supply and the water drain.

I think that is very important to know that then do not lie...

Eco Drop Shower

There has been a lot of emphasis in recent years on conserving water, but we all know that for most people self-regulation is damn near impossible. Enter designer Tommaso Colia and his Eco_Drop Shower. When the shower has decided that you have outstayed your welcome, concentric circles on the floor will rise&mdashmaking things too uncomfortable to continue. I don't know if this concept will ever see the light of day, but I vote for modifying it into a moving wall of spikes. Now that would be effective. Additional pic after the break.

generate electricity an environment friendly manner

A team of student researchers at MIT have developed a device they hope will generate enough electricity to recharge a mobile phone - cell phone in developing nations, where electricity is scarce. The device is based on the concept of biomass to generate electricity. The BioVolt as to ensure its creators only cost $ 2, also say several units could be connected to increase power output and increase efficiency. The invention was the winner of $ 5,000 to win the first prize.
